What Radio Simple España is
Radio Simple España is an iPhone and iPad app that gathers the Spanish radio stations broadcasting over the internet and puts them within anyone’s reach, with particular care that an older person can use it: large type, a simple mode of a single screen, and a lock mode that stops the app being knocked out of shape by accident. By installing and using it you accept these terms.
The app links, it does not broadcast
This is the important part, so it goes without hedging: Radio Simple España neither broadcasts nor re-hosts any radio station.
Every station publishes an address on the internet so people can listen. What this app does is gather those addresses, order them, and open one when you choose it. The audio travels from the station’s server to your phone, without passing through the studio, exactly as if you had opened its web page. Therefore:
- The content belongs to each station. What is said, the music that plays and its advertising are its responsibility, not the studio’s.
- Listening from here counts for them. Their server registers you as a listener like any other.
- A station can go silent at any time. If it shuts down its internet stream, changes address or restricts who may connect, it stops working here. It gets fixed when noticed, but it is not up to us.
If you are responsible for a station and want it taken out of the catalogue — or its name, logo or address corrected — write to [email protected] and it will be done.
The catalogue is indicative
The stations have been gathered and checked one by one, but the catalogue changes on its own: new stations appear, others close, and some change name or province. It is not guaranteed to be complete or every detail exact. A station being absent does not mean it does not exist; you can request it from within the app.
The paid part
- The app is free, and the radio plays with it. Lock mode is free too, and that is deliberate: it is what makes the app serve the person it was designed for.
- What is paid for is added features, offered two ways: a yearly subscription that renews itself and a one-off payment that does not expire. Current prices and terms are always shown on the purchase screen itself before you pay.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. It is managed from your Apple ID settings and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
- Payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. Charges, refunds and billing are governed by Apple’s terms, and refund requests are made directly to Apple.
- You can restore whatever you have paid for on any device with the same Apple ID, from the purchase screen itself.
- If you live in the European Union, you have the right of withdrawal the law grants you, under the terms Apple applies as the seller.
Acceptable use
You may use Radio Simple España freely to listen to the radio privately. It is not permitted to:
- Extract the catalogue or the stream addresses the app serves in an automated or bulk fashion.
- Use the app or its catalogue to re-broadcast, record or publicly redistribute the stations’ audio.
- Impersonate the app or its server, or attempt to bypass its verification mechanisms and rate limits.
- Decompile, alter or create derivative works of the application, beyond what mandatory law allows.
Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Neither the app, nor its server, nor third-party broadcasts are guaranteed to be always operational. Features may change, and a station may disappear from the catalogue if it stops broadcasting over the internet.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the studio is not liable for damages arising from the use of or inability to use the app, nor for content broadcast by third parties. Nothing written here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor the rights consumer law grants you.
Intellectual property
The application, its name, its design and its code belong to ApSD. The names, trade marks and logos of the stations belong to their owners and are shown solely to identify them, which is what makes it possible to find yours among thousands. There is no sponsorship, association or endorsement between those stations and this app.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its revision date. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
Governing law
Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts of your own domicile and to the dispute-resolution mechanisms the law grants you.
